Funeral services for Joann Peak, age 73, of Spring Branch, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Hall officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the funeral home.   Mrs. Peak passed away Friday evening at her home after a lengthy illness.

Joann was born July 21, 1937 in Grosvenor, Texas, the daughter of the late Joe and Doris (Beard) Moore.  She married George Peak in 1956 in Brownwood.  He preceded her in death in December, 1994.  Joann lived in Brownwood most of her life and worked as an area manager for Allsups until her retirement.   Eight years ago she moved to Spring Branch to live with her children.

Survivors include her son, Hobert Peak of Spring Branch; daughter, Brenda Peak of Spring Branch, sister, Loreine Edds of Ft. Worth; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandsons, Jonathon and Joshua Peak; one brother and one sister.
