Weekly Fishing Report for Area Lakes

fishingBelow are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.

Lake Brownwood

Water clear; 10.42′ low. Black bass are fair on tequila sunrise crankbaits, black/blue Bass Hogg spinnerbaits, and Grande Bass Rattle Snakes. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies. Crappie are good on Li’l Fishies and minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are fair on stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Coleman

Water clear; 63 – 66 degrees; 11.79′ low. Black bass are good on crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and dark soft plastic worms and lizards. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are fair on stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 66–70 degrees; 29.32′ low. Black bass are good on Texas rigs and Rat–L–Traps. Crappie are good on live minnows and jigs fished shallow. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.

Lake Proctor

Water stained; 66 – 70 degrees; 7.20′ low. Black bass are fair on pumpkinseed soft plastic worms and lizards. Striped bass are fair on chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows in 10 – 20 feet. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
