Santa Anna Students advance to Regional in UIL Academics

MountaineerEighteen students from Santa Anna High School traveled to Trent to compete in the District 11 UIL Academic meet, eight placed in their events, and three will be traveling to Abilene to compete in Regional competition later this month.

These students placed in the events they competed in:

Poetry-coached by Mrs. Vinson

*  Shawn Robertson 1st                    (advancing to regional competition)

  • *  Hunter Musick 6th

Prose-coached by Mrs. Vinson

*  Aspyn King 4th

 

  • Mariah Murray 6th

Computer Applications-coached by Mrs. Morris

  • Amber Musick 4th

Accounting-coached by Mrs. Morris

  • Paige Guerrero 2nd               (advancing to regional competition)

Science-coached by Mrs. Heath

  • Spencer Gilbreath 3rd             (advancing to regional competition)

Journalism-coached by Mrs. Rosenbusch

  • Kelsie Tobin 5th in Feature

The Calculator Applications team comprised of Spencer Gilbreath, Shawn Robertson, Danny Trowbridge, and Dillan Whitley placed 2nd as a team. They are coached by Coach Kerr.
