BilbreyBelinda

Funeral services for Belinda Bilbrey, 62, of Comanche, will be held at 2 pm on Friday, April 15, at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early, with the Rev. Gary Day and Don Draper officiating.   Interment will follow at Rock Church Cemetery in Blanket.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 pm on Thursday, April 14, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bilbrey passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center, with family by her side.

Belinda Ceola Chambliss was born on January 11, 1949, in Hobbs New Mexico, to Clarence and Doris Prichard Chambliss. She was raised and attended school in Odessa, Texas, where she graduated from Permian High School and went on to attend Odessa Jr. College where she obtained her accounting degree. She later married R.B. Bilbrey on October 9, 1979, in Stephenville Texas.

Mrs. Bilbrey was a homemaker.  Caring faithfully for her husband over the years and having the love of a devoted son, was what brought her the most joy in life.  She was an avid Bingo player, and she loved to crochet and fish. She and her husband R.B. also loved to frequent the auctions and could always be found at CJ’s Diner in Comanche.

She was a member of the Blanket First Baptist Church and the Odessa VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Belinda was the type of person that never met a stranger and she always had a big beautiful smile on her face. She will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are: her husband of 31 years, R.B. Bilbrey; her son, Earl Bilbrey of Comanche; mother, Doris Prentice; and one sister, Janice Payne and husband Dale, of Asheville NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and her very special baby “Tinkerbell”.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Chambliss, a sister, Donna Perkins; a brother, Clifford Chambliss; and her stepfather, Herman Prentice.

Friends and family members are invited to sign the online guestbook at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
