Funeral Services for Alice Isola Long, age 97, of Brownwood, will be held Saturday April 16, 2011 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Brown County with Dick Williams officiating, interment to follow at Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 7:30pm Friday evening at the funeral home.
She passed away Tuesday April 12, 2011 in Early.
Alice was born on July 04, 1913 in Indian Creek, Texas to Carl and Florence Andrews. She married Isac “Bart” Long on April 07, 1938 in Brownwood, Texas; she was a member of Mercury Baptist Church and Community Club. She also was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Alice was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed ranching and gardening.
She is survived by one brother, Looney Andrews of Brownwood, Texas; and two grandsons, David Long and wife Karen of Zephyr, Texas; Rick Long of Brownwood, Texas;A daughter-in-law, Claudine S. Long; nine great grandchildren, and fourteen great-great grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Isac “Bart” Long, and son Billy Bart Long, a brother Robert Andrews, and a sister Maida Mullins.
