Helen Evelyn McBride

McBrideHelen Evelyn McBride peacefully passed from this life on March 8, 2011, to find the hand of our Lord bless her home. He time here as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend and will long be remembered as a devoted follower of Christ.

She was born in May, Texas, on Aug. 14, 1945, to Hugh Franklin McBride and Ola Frances McBride.

She is survived by her sister, Jerry Orr of May, Texas; her two daughters, Lezli Perkins and Trisha Perkins of Dallas, Texas; her grandchildren, Austin and Ariel Goodwin, Taylor and Meghan Clements and Trevor Person; great-grandchildren, Jazelle Jackson and Khaden Strawers.

Ms. McBride was preceded in death by her brothers, Fredy McBride and Harold McBride;  and her sisters, Bonnie Williams and Martha Cobb.

Helen’s life will always be cherished as a woman of great strength who inspired many. She gave by faith hope and love to all who knew her in work volunteering and friend to the community overcoming many obstacles. Her family was her most precious jewel of happiness.

Please join the family at graveside services at 2 p.m. on April 16, 2011, in May Cemetery in celebration of Helen’s life commemorating the beauty and the gift of her time with us, the blessing it is that she be with our Lord at rest in His peace and the honor it has been to love her.

Arrangements are under the direction of Golden Gate Funeral Home and Cremation of Dallas.
