Jamie Byron Turner

TurnerJamieJamie B. “Goober” Turner, age 75, of Winchell, died Thursday evening at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Monday in the Winchell Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

He was born September 03, 1935 in Weatherford, Texas the son of the late Jim and Mary Turner. After high school, he served in the U. S. Army National Guard. He was a carpenter most of his life and was married to Christene Holland in Brownwood on May 23, 2000. He had lived in Brown County for the past 35 years, loved fishing and being with family.

He is survived by his wife, Christene Turner of Winchell

2 Daughters – Debra LeMaster and husband Sam of Azle
Cindy Eubank and husband Jeff of Mansville, Oklahoma

2 Stepsons – Jamie Shank of Anthony, New Mexico
Jeremy Shank of Brownwood

7 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren

Brother – Monty Turner of Louisville, Kentucky

Sister – JoAnn Hardin of Fort Worth

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Sam Turner and a sister, Helen Carnley.
