The Brownwood Freshman League is now signing up players for the 2011 season.

Brownwood Freshman League provides a summer program for ages 5-14 that attend school or live in Brownwood.  This program is funded in part by local businesses, fundraisers, concession sales, and registration fees.  The registration fee is $35 for one child or families with two or more children in the same household will pay $50.  Any additional donations are gladly accepted!

Two new things to the league this year will be:

• Ages 7-8 will be Machine Pitch instead of kid pitch
• There will be a sophomore league for ages 13-14 which has 80 ft. bases.

Signup forms are available at the Weakley Watson Sporting Goods location at 102 Fisk Avenue, Brownwood.  Deadline for signing up is Wednesday, March 30th.    Forms and fees to be turned in at Weakley Watson.  All fees must be paid with check or money order.

All Tryouts will be at 6:30 at Pepper Field in Camp Bowie, the old complex that is the same place where it has been held in the past.  Games will be played at the new complex, but they won’t be ready for tryouts.

Tryout Dates:

T-Ball (5 & 6 yr olds)                     No tryouts

Machine Pitch (7 & 8 yr. olds)         Monday, April 4th

Sr. Midget  (9 &10 yr. olds)            Tuesday, April 5th

Freshman  (11 & 12 yr. olds)         Thursday, April 7th

Sophomore (13 & 14 yr. olds)         Monday, April 11th
