Visitation services for Martha Nell Banks of Brownwood will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Davis- Morris Funeral Home.
Martha Nell Banks passed away March 21, 2011, at the age of 88 in Brownwood, Texas. Martha was born on Dec. 13, 1922, in Granbury, Texas, to James Linzy Newman and Serena (Britt) Newman.
She was married to Miles Fikes Banks in 1939 in McCulloch County. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Woodland Heights and also participated in their garden club. She enjoyed gardening and being a housewife. Martha was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two sons; Jim Banks of Artesia, N.M. and Don Banks of Lake Whitney, Texas. Also two sisters; one brother; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles Fikes Banks; one daughter, Pamela Kobty; and one son, Larry Banks.
