Law Enforcement Blotter 3/22

Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, March 22nd.

Monday, March 21

*10:43am – Brownwood Police responded to a call in the 300 block of Lori Lane regarding theft.  The complainant reported that an unknown person or persons had taken a 5 ton air conditioner unit from a property.

*5:47pm – A complainant reported to Brownwood Police that a theft occurred last Thursday in the 300 block of Market Place Blvd.  No suspect has been identified.

*7:05pm – Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Belle Plain regarding a possible intoxicated person.  After making contact with the suspect, police arrested 42-year-old Chad William Beasley for Public Intoxication with 3 Prior Convictions.

*9:49pm – Brownwood Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run that occurred in a parking lot in the 1200 block of Austin Avenue.  The complainant’s vehicle was hit while it was parked.

*10:00pm – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy Nathan Land observed a car parked in the middle of the road in the 500 block of 4th Street in Brownwood with a person standing beside it.  According to the report, the deputy attempted to make contact with the person when the individual began to run.  Deputy land chased the man and was able to catch him.  The report states that the man was observed throwing two bags of what appeared to be methamphetamine during the foot pursuit.  The man, identified as 21-year-old Roy Maldonado, Jr., was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance under 1 gram, Tampering with Evidence, and Evading Arrest or Detention.

Tuesday, March 22

*12:08am – Brownwood Police received a report of a hit-and-run at Camelot Apartments located at 2100 Slayden St.  The victim reported that a dark colored passenger car struck a pickup in the parking lot and fled the scene.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
