Funeral services for Weldon Crockett, age 76, of Brownwood will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Netherton Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmie Mize officiating.  Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations.  Mr. Crockett died March 13, 2011 at St. David’s South Hospital in Austin.

Weldon was born August 10, 1934 in Coleman County.  He lived in the Brownwood area for most of his life.  Weldon was an electrician and had retired from the IBEW Union.

Survivors include his children, Mark D. and Brenda Crockett of Farmers Branch,

Deborah and Danny Taylor of Waxahachie and Jeanine and Perry Brooks of Buda; brother, J. H. Crockett of Wills Point; and grandchildren, Heather Wesson and Josh Young.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Eddie May Crockett; parents, C. S. and Estella Crockett; four brothers and three sisters.
