Wanda Mae Williford

WandaWillifordPrivate graveside services for Wanda Mae Williford, age 81, of Brownwood and formerly of Comanche, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Mercer Gap Cemetery.  Mrs. Williford passed away Thursday morning at a local nursing home.

Wanda was born July 5, 1929 in Brown County, Texas, the daughter of the late Clarence and Martha (Williams) Cook.  She married Jesse Williford on September 18, 1947 in Comanche.  He preceded her in death on January 29, 2008.  She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include her children, Randal and Janice Williford of Ft. Worth, Harold and Doris Williford of Comanche and Joe and Julie Williford of Brownwood; a sister, Jean Huffman of Odessa; grandchildren, Wesley Williford, Michael Williford, Steven Williford, Tommy Williford, Cristal Gilligan, Roddy Evans, Brad Avery, Chancee Avery, Patricia Santiago, Sara Williford, Cole Terry, Andrew Putman, and LeeAnn Thomas; and 21 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Wanda is preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Gaye Williford, and two grandsons, Charles Lee Williford and Randal J. Williford, Jr.
