Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Friday, March 4, 2011.

Wednesday, March 2

*8:30pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office spoke with a complainant regarding a burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone entered his workshop and taken a saddle and bridle.  The burglary occurred sometime in the last day or so.  The door to the workshop was not locked.  Although there were other items in the area where the saddle was located, nothing else was missing or disturbed the report states.  The complainant lives in the same building as his shop; therefore, a report of burglary of a habitation was made.  The value of the saddle and bridle set was reported to be approximately $900 total.

Thursday, March 3

*6:07pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of N. Main Street regarding suspicious circumstances.  After an investigation, it was determined that a male cook at the restaurant had assaulted a female cashier the report states.  The female cashier elected not to pursue criminal charges for the assault.  An informational report was filed regarding the incident.

*7:07pm-Brownwood Police received a report of ID theft.  An investigation is ongoing.

*8:26pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 300 block of 4th Street regarding a hit and run accident.  An investigation is ongoing.

*9:12pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Center Avenue, the Brownwood Manor, regarding Disorderly Conduct.  According to the report, the officer performed an investigation and determined that a male subject, identified as 38-year-old Timothy Allen French, was intoxicated.  French was arrested for Public Intoxication.

*Bangs Police arrested 44-year-old Robert Chris Bennie of Brownwood for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1, less than 1g.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
