Brandon Irwin and Kanyon Payne of Howard Payne University were named to the 2011 American Southwest Conference men’s basketball All-Conference teams, the ASC office announced on Tuesday, following a vote of the league’s 15 head coaches.

Brandon Irwin (pictured) – First Team All-West Division
Brandon finished second in the ASC in scoring at 19.2 points per game. He also led the ASC in 3-point FG pct at 42.7%. He was twice named ASC Player of the Week and named once to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week. Brandon passed 1,000 points in his career midway through the season.

Kanyon Payne – Honorable Mention All-West Division
Kanyon averaged 6.8 points per game and a team high 5.3 rebounds per game. He was in the top 10 in the ASC in offensive rebounds per game and among the leaders in block shots.
