GuilloryDarrelleLaw enforcement descended on a local apartment complex as a narcotics search warrant was executed Friday, February 4th in the 2800 block of Belmeade Street in Brownwood.

According to Early Chief of Police David Mercer, the warrant was a result of a continuing investigation from the arrest of Shernon “Keeda” Coleman on December 30, 2010.   Click here for details of Coleman’s arrest.  Coleman is the father of 25-year-old Darrelle “Chris” Guillory (pictured to the left) who was arrested during the execution of the search warrant Friday afternoon.   Coleman was previously arrested after a traffic stop in Early led to the seizure of crack cocaine.

Officer Johnny Brown and Sgt. Shawn Dibrell developed the information regarding the arrival of more crack cocaine and marijuana that was to be sold in the Brownwood and Early area.  Mercer said that when they learned the location of the drugs; they coordinated efforts with the Brownwood Police Department narcotics officer and District Attorney Micheal Murray.  Judge Frank Griffin signed the search warrant.

DPS troopers, Brownwood City Marshal, Brownwood and Early PD executed the warrant around lunch Friday and located a quantity of crack cocaine, marijuana and paraphernalia in the apartment according to Mercer.  Officers also seized cash that the Guillory was counting when officers entered the apartment Mercer said.  Guillory was arrested, charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1, less than 1g in a Drug Free Zone, and taken to the Brown County Jail where his father “Keeda” Coleman remains.

Pictured below are units from DPS, BPD and EPD involved in the execution of the search warrant.
