CorinneTSmithLogoThe ice and snow made life a little difficult last week for the people of Brown and surrounding counties, but it also affected the animals of the area including those at the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center…they are running short of dry dog food due to the wintery conditions and hazardous roads.

Monday morning, staff noted that the center was down to 3 bags of dog food, which will feed the dogs for one day.  Usually generous people bring in bags of food daily which helps keep expenses down for the animal center.

“We usually get donations of dry dog food every day, but the weather was so bad last week that we got none,” stated Executive Director Freda Day.

Any donations of quality dry dog food would be greatly appreciated and are needed as soon as possible because supplies are so low.  Below is a list of items that are always appreciated donations:

Quality Dog & Cat Treats
Canned Dog Food
Quality Dry Dog Food
Quality Cat Food
55 Gallon Trash Bags
Cat & Dog Toys
Dog Collars & Leashes
White Copy Paper

Kuranda Dog Beds

Adams Flea Shampoo
Adams Flea Spray
Bleach
Dish Soap
HE Laundry Soap
Front Line Treatment
Advantix Treatment
AA Batteries
Pipe Cleaners
Cat Litter

Donations may be delivered to the Corinne T. Smith Animal Shelter at 3016 Milam Drive, Brownwood or to make a monetary donation, CLICK HERE.  For questions or more information, please call 325-646-0617.
