Although looking to arrest one man on what Brownwood Police officials called a “minor warrant,” Brownwood Police made multiple drug related arrests at a residence in the 1700 block of 11th Street Sunday night.

At 10:07pm Sunday, Brownwood Police officers arrived in search of a wanted person; however once on scene, officers were able to see people inside using narcotics through the windows of the residence police officials said.  After observing the drug use, a police supervisor was called to the scene.

Police officials said that the subjects involved in the drug use then unexpectedly exited the house into the carport area of the residence where police detained them.  After refusing to let officers search the residence, a search warrant was obtained police said.

During their search, police said that they found Xanax being snorted as well as a felony amount of marijuana, more than 10 oz, which led to multiple arrests.  23-year-old Jonathan Wesley Branscum was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.  21-year-old Magan Marie Maxwell Temple and 23-year-old Robert Dale Woodworth were each charged with the felony Possession of Marijauna >4oz<5lbs and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 3<28g.
