BrownwoodCommunityLogoarticleThe Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce is getting ready to begin its first ever Total Resource Campaign (TRC), and the competition is already heating up with captains being selected and teams forming.

Under the leadership of campaign chairman Bert Massey, ten teams are being assembled to compete for cash, a trip to Las Vegas, iPads, and most importantly – bragging rights.  Over a seven-week period, beginning February 8, dozens of volunteers working in teams will work with Chamber members to design a customized sponsorship plan for the entire year.  The most successful teams will win weekly prizes and the trip as a grand prize.

“The team captains are getting very competitive already,” said Missi Malone, Director of Member Services for the Chamber.  “Several captains were recruiting team members by text message during the first captain training.”

The TRC is designed to give Chamber members an array of opportunities to become more involved with the organization in new ways through greater public awareness of Chamber programs, projects, and events.  The TRC also makes it easier for businesses to budget for the coming year and helps improve the efficiency of Chamber activities.

The staff at the Chamber evaluated their current programs and identified new opportunities for local businesses to become involved.  Through the TRC, a menu of sponsorship opportunities will be available to help create a customized sponsorship plan for any sized business.

For more information about the TRC program, becoming a team member, or to sponsor Chamber activities and events – call the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce at 325-646-9535.

**All team member names not available as of publication time.  Teams will be finalized by February 5th**
