Kenneth W. Boyd

BoydKenneth W. Boyd, age 74, of Early died Monday in the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with his grandson Kreg Boyd officiating assisted by Rev. Eddie Ailshie. Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.

He was born October 25, 1936 in Brown County, the son of the late Milton and Vida Lowry Boyd. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1955 and later married Kaye Thompson in Brownwood on March 23, 1956. He served in the U. S. Army and worked as a car salesman most of his life. He formerly worked for Rex Wyatt Motors in Brownwood. He retired as a student work coordinator for the Texas Youth Commission retiring after 10 years. He was a Baptist and a lifelong resident of Brown County.
He is survived by his wife, Kaye Boyd of Early,
His children, Kelly Ham and husband Paul of Garland
And Ky Boyd and wife Velre of Early

His grandchildren, Boyd Garton of Garland, Kyra Boyd of Early, Courtney Halpin and husband Marc of Allen, Kreg Boyd of Austin, and Kwade Boyd of Early
His great grandson – Kyden Boyd of Early

His sisters, Moe Bean and husband Theron of Early and Glenda Abernathy

His brother-in-law and wife – Eddie and Gloria Thompson of Early
His sister-in-law and husband – Sherry and Bill Thorpe of Brownwood

A special friend, Josh Greer of Abilene

Many nieces and nephews also survive.

The family requests memorials be made to the Early Baseball Association c/o Tom Jones,
415 Early Blvd., Early, Texas 76802.
