The body of Marine Cpl. Tevan Nguyen of Hutto is expected to be flown into Brownwood on Tuesday to prepare for funeral services later this week.

The 21-year-old Marine was killed during combat operations Tuesday, December 28 in Helmand province Afghanistan.

Funeral Services with full military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Serafin Avenido officiating, interment to follow in Indian Creek Cemetery under the direction of Davis Morris Funeral Home.

A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Nguyen is a graduate of Hutto High School, where he was on the championship football team in 2005.

Tevin has numerous family members who live in the Brownwood area.
