The Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club of Early recently distributed Christmas food baskets to area families to help them enjoy the Christmas Holidays.  The collection of canned goods for this purpose was conducted by the Early High School Key Club and the Early Middle School Builders Club, both of which are Kiwanis sponsored Youth programs within the Early ISD.

The Kiwanis Club purchased hams to be placed with each basket and was responsible for the distribution of these baskets.

“Through the efforts of our youth groups, we were able to assemble and deliver approximately 45 food baskets this year,” said Dale Courtright, president of the Early Kiwanis Club.  “I would like to thank and applaud these 2 youth clubs and their sponsors, for helping us to make this another successful project.”

Pictured above are some of the Builders Club members and their sponsor, Kate Teston.  Teston stated that the two highest contributors were (l-r) Sam Cox with 45 cans and Conner Marsh with 30 cans of food items.
