Through the “Books 4 Kids” program, local credit unions donated 250 books to Brownwood ISD first graders.  Mid-Tex Federal Credit Union, Cen-Tex Manufacturing Credit Union and First Central Credit Union raised funds for books by selling candy bars and taking donations.

The books will be delivered to the three elementary schools in Brownwood, just in time for Christmas.  Standing with the books are (from left to right) Lisa Tidwell (Mid-Tex F.C.U.), Joy Skelton (Cen-Tex Mfg. C.U.), Ruth Smith (First Central C.U.) and Liesa Land, BISD Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.
