Brown County Sheriff Bobby Grubbs reported that on Friday afternoon, deputies with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office were assisted by Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood City Marshal and Child Protective Services in the execution of a search and arrest warrant at the Southside Village Apartments.  The warrant was the result of the continued investigation into the distribution of Methamphetamine in Brown County.

26-year-old James Little and 23-year-old Lisa Little were arrested and  charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Endangering a Child.  A search of the residence uncovered evidence of methamphetamine distribution from the residence as well as the use of the substance.

Three children were located at the residence ranging in ages from 2 to 6 years.  Child Protective Services has begun an investigation into the unsafe environment for the children.  The children were released to family at the scene.  Both James and Lisa Little are being held in the Brown County Jail where no bond had been set at the time of the report.

“With the continued cooperation between law enforcement agencies in Brown County, these investigations will continue,” stated Sheriff Grubbs.  “As a result of these investigations, our agencies are making it harder and harder for those people who choose to deal drugs in our communities to go undetected”.

Sheriff Grubbs said that he vows to continue to dedicate the necessary resources and man power needed to aggressively combat the drug problem in Brown County.
