FUMCBangsCmasMusicThe Chancel Choir of the Bangs First United Methodist Church will be presenting two performances of their Christmas Musical, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” in the church sanctuary at the corner of Fitzgerald and South First.

The first performance will be Saturday, December 11, at 7:00 p.m.  Everyone is invited to enjoy the parade and festivities and then attend this performance.  The second performance will be on Sunday, December 12, at the 11:00 worship hour.

This musical, written by Sue C. Smith and Russell Mauldin, is set in a small town square as a local church choir gets ready for their annual Christmas presentation.  Through the eyes of a local street vendor, several heart-felt stories are retold to communicate just what makes this annual event so special as God moves in the hearts of the community as they show love to a total stranger.  Giving is what Christmas is all about–God sending His one and only Son to bring us a gift we did not deserve–the free gift of salvation.

This captivating story combined with familiar classic songs and hymns, along with new songs of the season make “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” a heart-warming presentation.

The choir is under the direction of Nancy Lowry.  Accompanists are Sharon Rambo and Virginia Bishop.  Wayne Lewis, Pastor, extends an invitation to the community share in the Christmas event.
