TommyHeadDonationsTommy and Wynona Head, personally and as representatives of Mills County State Bank, recently presented substantial donations to the Lyric “Light the Lyric” campaign.  Bill King, LPAC Board member gratefully accepted the donation.

In donating the gifts, the Heads spoke of the pleasure they have received in the great performances of the Lyric Performing Arts Company, and their eagerness in seeing the completion of the restoration of this historic theatre.

The Brownwood Lyric Theatre restoration project has essentially completed the first phase, which included the exterior of the building, the ticket booth, entrance foyer and the new sign and marquee.

Citizens are encouraged to drive down Center Avenue after dark and enjoy the splendor of the new sign. As one person has said, “That sign does not just Light the Lyric, it lights up Brownwood.”

If you would like to join with the Head’s in moving this major addition to downtown Brownwood along, you may do so by going to www.brownwoodlyrictheatre.com and make an online contribution. Or mail your check to Lyric Performing Arts Company, P. O. Box 1886, Brownwood, TX 76804. You may also contact any of the LPAC Board members for more information.
