The Public is to attend an Informational Meeting at Midtown Baptist Church at 5:30pm on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, for Cross Classical Academy – a Christian, Classical, University-Model School® in Brownwood, TX. Incorporating a time tested classical curriculum that produced many of the great minds of the modern era within a university style schedule that affords families the necessary time together to provide for the spiritual and character development of children, Cross Classical Academy provides a family-centric, college prep educational alternative to public, private and home school options.
Grammar students attend formal classes on campus Mondays and Wednesdays and complete assignments prepared by their professional instructors on the alternate days at home under the direct supervision of their parents. Cross Classical Academy is now accepting applications for grades Kindergarten-5th for the 2011-2012 school year. One or more grades will be added each year.
By gradually increasing the students’ classroom time and individual responsibility for independent study – and by employing a rigorous, classical curriculum – Cross Classical Academy will produce young men and women well equipped for college, having developed a strong work ethic and study habits and having been trained how to think and reason for themselves, as opposed to simply being taught what to think. And by requiring substantial and significant involvement from parents – and reinforcing their Christian values in the classroom – the unique grain and character of each child will be brought out and polished, eventually producing men and women who discover and passionately pursue their God-given purpose and leave a meaningful mark in this world for His glory.
