Woodland Heights Elementary collected items for Christmas Boxes for the Military Support Group.  Mrs. Morelock’s second grade class provided eight overflowing boxes of food, personal care items and handwritten cards expressing Woodland’s gratitude to the many who serve.  Receiving the donation for the Military Support Group were Janet Arrington, Jan Masters, and Major Jane Masters (Retired) US Army Reserves.

Mrs. Morelock’s class also presented two coins engraved with the words “Never to be forgotten” to CSM Dan Morelock (Ret.) and Ranger Bob Snyder.  The coins were presented to two friends of Woodland to thank them for their service.

Through these projects, the students learned of the many families who have loved ones in the military, and of the valuable gift of freedom.
