Sharon Owen Johnson

On Sunday morning, Sharon Owen Johnson was called home to be with her Lord.

Sharon was born in Ft. Worth, Texas to Bill and the late Dorothy Owen on March 4, 1961. She lived and went to school in Ft. Worth for the first ten years of her life.  In 1971, she moved with her family to Brownwood, Texas.  She graduated from Brownwood High School and started working with her parents in the H & R Block business preparing tax returns for clients and friends.  She made friends of all the people she met and was well liked in the community.  In June of 1994, she married J.D Johnson where the services were held at her parents’ home.  In August of 2000 they were blessed with a son, Denny Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, J.D. Johnson; son, Denny; and father, Bill Owen of Brownwood; brother, Bill Owen and his family of Houston; sister, Amelia Owen of Houston; Aunt, Janet Sherrill and family of Dallas; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held at the Netherton Funeral Home, 1412 Belle Plain, on Tuesday, November 23rd at 4:00 PM.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson died November 21, 2010 at a local nursing home.
