EdwardBerryPhotoEdward M. Berry—who we all knew as “Bear”, of Whitney died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in Waco.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, at Jenkins Springs Cemetery with Pastor Brian Hall officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations.

 

Bear was born in Walnut Springs to Harry and Pauline Berry.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.  He also loved his dogs, “Bear Bear” and “Fancy” and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

 

Bear was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Pauline Berry, a brother, William A. Berry and sister, Gloria A. Maggard.  Survivors include his long-time companion, Billie A. Stanley of Whitney; a sister, Lois M. Erwin and husband, Duane of Hamilton; three brothers, Robert L. Berry of Hamilton, Earl Ray Berry of Hutto, Ronald Dale Berry and wife, Kathy of Joshua and a daughter, Cindy Berry of Burleson.

He also claimed Billie’s children as his own:  two daughters, Billie Jo Schiel and husband, David of Chappell Hill and Mary Ellen Burton and husband, David of Hamilton; two sons, Cody Stanley and wife, Audra of Killeen, Chad Stanley of Keller; grandchildren, Madison Schiel, Neelie Schiel, Wyatt Schiel, Emiliegh Burton, Jennifer Stanley and Jessie Stanley, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
