17 Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

District Attorney Micheal Murray reported that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

  • Michael Lynn Walls pled guilty to the four felony offenses of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Drug Free Zone, and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to Twenty-Eight (28) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • James Calvin Slayton pled guilty to the felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and was sentenced to Twenty-Five (25) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Mickey Lark Funderburg pled guilty to the felony offense of Manufacture of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Ten (10) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further Funderburg pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Abandoning or Endangering a Child and was sentenced to Eighteen (18) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Jacob Homer Smith, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault was adjudicated and sentenced to Six (6) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Stephanie Lee Baker, on probation for the felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity was adjudicated and sentenced to Six (6) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Brandon Dee Gilbreath, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, was adjudicated and sentenced to Five (5) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Modesta Nicole Bilbrey, on probation for the felony offense of Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, was revoked and sentenced to Five (5) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Stephanie Seaboalt Davis, on probation for the felony offense of Injury to a Child, was revoked and sentenced to Five (5) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Roy Turner, on probation for the felony offense of Sexual Assault, was adjudicated and sentenced to Four (4) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Shianne Renee Bullard, on probation for the offense of Assault Family Violence-Enhanced, was adjudicated and sentenced to Three (3) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Lincoln Christopher Sawyers pled guilty to the felony offense of Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to Two (2) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Michael Lee McAnn pled guilty to the state jail felony offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft under $20,000-Tubing, Rods, Wire or Cable and was sentenced to Two (2) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division in each case.
  • Stephen Carl Matthews, on probation for the felony offense Possession of Marihuana, was adjudicated and sentenced to Thirteen (13) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • John Scott Dyer pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Eighteen (18) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Oscar Rodriguez, Sr., on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, was revoked and sentenced to Fifteen (15) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Institutional Division.
  • Joe Cadena, Jr., on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was revoked and sentenced to Fourteen (14) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Julie Marie Hinkley pled no contest to the felony offense of Theft over $1500 under $20,000 and was sentenced to Seven (7) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
