Jones And Walker Named To All-Tournament Team

After the completion of the 2010 American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament the ASC announced the All-Tournament team and Howard Payne’s Leslie Jones and Adrienne Walker were honored on the list.

Leslie Jones scored the game-winning goal for the Lady Jackets against Mississippi College in the first round of the tournament. Jones was HPU’s goal leader this season with 16, placing her in 2nd overall in the ASC.

Adrienne Walker recorded eight saves in the 1-0 shutout of Mississippi College and an amazing 16 saves in the 0-2 loss to Hardin-Simmons in the semi-finals.


The Lady Jackets end their season with the program’s first playoff appearance, first tournament win and the most wins in school history, 11-5-3 overall.
