Brownwood High School recently participated in the 2010 Letters from Home Community Christmas Box Project sponsored by the Military and Family Support Group of Brown County.  The Family and Community Service class, taught by Connie Sliger, created over 75 hand-made cards to be included in Christmas boxes for military serving at home or abroad.

Some students did artwork while others added messages inside the cards.  Students are learning about positive ways to have an impact on their community, both locally and worldwide.

Pictured below is student, Marina Williams, with several of the Christmas cards.

BHSLettersFromHomeStudents who worked on the project are pictured above.  Front Row (left to right) Kayla Laube, Jairo Arriaga, Polo Siller, Joshua Reece, & Marc Wallace; Middle Row (left to right) Jessica Dickey, Dusty Harris, Jessica Cortez, Paige Doyea, Aranda Salazar, Marina Williams, Shalem Ruiz, & Tiffanie Nava; Back Row (left to right) Reina Mireles, Dora Reyes, & Maria Lopez.
