Joetta Mae Hill

Joetta Mae Hill, age 71, of Zephyr passed away Saturday October 23, 2010 at her residence.  Mrs. Hill was born June 16, 1939 in Haskell , Texas to Joe and Lora Mae Gifford. She married Larry Hill Sr. on May 15, 1987 and moved to Zephyr in 1992. She worked for Texas State Optical for 20 years in Baytown and Brownwood . She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a member of the Civil Air Patrol in Baytown .

She is survived by her husband Larry Hill Sr. of  Zephyr, 6 sons Larry Hill Jr and wife Rebecca of Liberty, Larry Hill III of Zephyr, Ricky DeHay and wife Wendy of Zephyr, Thomas DeHay and wife Tammy of Las Vegas, John DeHay of Baytown and William DeHay of Baytown, 4 daughters Marcilla Hill and husband Richard of Kerrville, Denita Robertson and husband Leslie of Cleveland, Jodie Laza and husband Mike of Cleveland, and Lorie Reed of Zephyr, his mother Lora Gifford of Zephyr, 4 sisters Verle Rice and husband Eddie of Lake Brownwood, Marcilla Grice and husband Ronald of San Angelo, Cheryl (Sissy) Spurlock of Brownwood, Carol Spurlock of Alaska, 2 brothers Burl Gifford and wife Linda of Bangs, Sammy Spurlock of Brownwood; 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Monday October 25, 2010 in the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lynn Turnbow officiating. Interment will follow in the Zephyr Cemetery .  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 Sunday evening at the Blaylock Funeral Home.
