The Howard Payne University School of Music and Fine Arts will present a faculty recital on Thursday, October 21, featuring Stephen Goacher, woodwinds, and Dr. Elizabeth Wallace, piano. The recital, to be held in Mims Auditorium at 7:30 p.m., is free and open to the public.

The program will include music from Philippe Gaubert, Robert Schumann, Will L. Thompson, Paul Hindemith, Claude Debussy and Paul Bonneau.

Both Dr. Wallace and Goacher are professors of music at HPU.

Dr. Wallace is active as a performer, adjudicator and clinician. Goacher has performed and recorded throughout the United States.  His solo CD of hymns and gospel music, titled Leaving a Testimony, was released in 2008.
