Saturday was full of music and marching in Brady with 25 schools represented at the Region VII Marching Contest.

The competition was hosted by Brady ISD, Brady Band Boosters and Brady Bulldogs Band.  Judges were Mr. Dennis  Hopkins of Plano, Mr. Mike Lunney of Abilene and Mr. Charlie Munsell of Spring Branch.  The contest began at 9:30am and lasted through 6:30pm while bands from class 1A, 2A and 3A schools performed.

Brownwood, Early and Bangs High Schools all received Division I ratings at the competition.  Trophies were awarded to each of the top schools.

Brownwood advances to the area round of UIL competition this weekend in Waco.
