FieldsofFaith2010The Fellowship of Christian Athletes hosted its annual Fields of Faith event with thousands of area students and athletes attending the event Wednesday night at Gordon Wood Stadium in Brownwood.

Those in attendance heard Christian testimonies from other athletes, live Christian music, and guest speakers, former NFL players and brothers, John and Guy Earle.

Brothers Jordan Shipley of the Cincinnati Bengals and Brownwood Lions’ Wide Receiver Jaxon Shipley were both on hand for the event.  Jaxon shared his testimony and a passage from the Bible from James 2:14-22 which addresses faith.

When the invitation was open, a mass of students came forward to learn more about Jesus and some to rededicate their lives.

Leaders broke into prayer groups to help those who came forward.
