Sentences Handed Down to 15 Felony Offenders

District Attorney Michael Murray reported that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

  • Kelli Jean Wynne pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Wynne pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Justin Ray Pesina pled guilty to the felony offenses of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and Retaliation and was sentenced to Eight (8) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Martin Frederick Coronado, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon was adjudicated and sentenced to Seven (7) Years, Texas Department of Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Michael Royce Hobbs pled guilty to the felony offense of Retaliation and was sentenced to Five (5) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Martha Chavez, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant was revoked and sentenced to Four (4) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Amanda Lynn Eason, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation was adjudicated and sentenced to Four (4) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division.
  • Dustin Ray Lawson pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Four (4) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further Lawson, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation was revoked and sentenced to Three (3) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Jami LaShirl Fields pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Four (4) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further Fields pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • John Angus McDonald, on probation for the felony offense of Claiming Lottery Prize by Fraud was adjudicated and sentenced to Three (3) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Barbara Ann Goins, on probation for the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated was revoked and sentenced to Three (3) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Leland Bradley Michael, on probation for the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated with Child Passenger was revoked and sentenced to Two (2) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Debra Ann Woods, on probation for the offense of Credit Card Abuse was adjudicated and sentenced to Fifteen (15) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Deidra Ann Lawson, on probation for the felony offense of Forgery was revoked and sentenced to Fifteen (15) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Jennifer Jackson Hathcock pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Billy Joe Murphy, on probation for the felony offense of Theft over $1500 under $20,000 was revoked and sentenced to Fourteen (14) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
