Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.

Lake Brownwood

Water clear; 82 degrees; 8.07′ low. Black bass are excellent on watermelon and redbug Bass Hogg spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and Finesse worms, and on Grande Bass Rattle Snakes and craw colored crankbaits in rock cuts. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass to 2.5 pounds are good on Li’l Fishies, small Rat–L–Traps, and shad crankbaits off lighted docks at night. Crappie are good on Li’l Fishies and tube jigs over brush piles under lighted docks at night. Channel catfish are good on cut bait and nightcrawlers over baited holes in 15 – 20 feet. Yellow catfish to 20 pounds are good on trotlines baited with perch.

Lake Coleman

Water fairly clear; 81 degrees; 9.52′ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon red spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are good on live minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Channel catfish are good on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

OH Ivie Reservoir

Water lightly stained; 72–77 degrees; 25.19′ low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, shaky head jigs, Rat–L–Traps and wacky rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on Road Runners. Channel catfish are good on live and cut bait.

Lake Proctor

Water murky; 82 degrees; 4.60′ low. Black bass are good on minnows. Striped bass are fair on minnows and white pearl crankbaits. White bass are good on minnows. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on goldfish, stinkbait, shrimp, and shad. Yellow catfish are slow.
