Edna Irene “Indian” Williams

EdnaWilliamsMemorial services for Edna Irene “Indian” Williams, age 68, of Richland Springs will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, at the First Baptist Church in Richland Springs with Reverend Barry Fikes officiating.  Ms. Williams died September 28, 2010 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center and was cremated under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations.

Irene was born April 13, 1942 in Brownwood, Texas. She was a lifetime resident and wore many hats, from working at Gomez Restaurant to becoming a Certified Nurse’s Aide.  Her most important job was being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Lawson and Shana Germany of Bangs and Elizabeth Irene Bess of Victoria; grandchildren, Hailey Brown, Kandace & J.D. Welch, Terry Davis, Mercedes Green, Taosha Williams, Patrick Moore, Mark Williams, Tra Williams, Robert Bess, Elbert Thomas, and Rannise Bess; great grandchildren, BayLeigh Brown, Keegan Davis, Tavion Leek, James Coleman, Kamryn Burley; brothers and sisters, Johnny and Cathlyn Powell, Billy Glenn and Denise Powell, Mary and Tommy Millett, R.J. and Pam Germany, Chris and Bobby Reeves, Dale Germany and Sue and Bruce Gray; and lots of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William David Powell and Ruth Miller Germany, Rodney Germany; son, Jackie Williams II and brother, David Powell.
