Mary Ruth Ward

wardMary Ruth Bizzell was born September 15, 1929 in Iraan, Texas the daughter of the late John Paul and Cleora Clatie Phillips Bizzell. After she graduated high school she attended Texas Westlyn College in Fort Worth where she attained her associate degree. Mary married Frank Ward in Fort Worth on April 21, 1949, married for 60 years and the love of each other’s life.

She attended Bangs Church of Christ. Mary was a woman of many interest, she loved the piano, liked to dance, acting in plays, fishing, crossword puzzles, really any word games, she like to play video games, she was an excellent swimmer, rode on a moped and a golf cart, and she loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys. Her and Frank had lived in Brownwood since 1982, she was the first woman division land ever and worked for Bellco Petroleum, retiring a few months after Frank retired from Gulf Petroleum.


Survivors include:
Husband: Frank Ward of Brownwood
Son: Dusty Ward and wife Jerri Ann of Lake Brownwood
3 daughters: Debbie Testa and husband Joe of Garland
Diann Tucker and husband Tommy of South Lake
Dayna Dugger and husband Scott of San Angelo
10 grandchildren: Devin and Kinsie Ward, Misty Owens, Tracy Newton, Paul and David Logan, Tyler Fleetwood, Kasey, Kirstie and Kerry Dugger
6 great grandchildren: Deborah, Cody, Kile, Aren, Granger, and Falon

preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, John Paul Bizzell, Jr.

Funeral Services are Friday September 17, 2010, 10:00 AM at Bangs Church of Christ
