RescuesAndRunawaysMaurices at Heartland Mall in Early is accepting donations for Rescues and Runways during the month of September.  These donations may be in the form of pet supplies or monetary gifts, which will benefit our local animal shelter, the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center.

While no donations will be turned away, our local shelter has some specific needs that are listed below.   As a token of maurices’ appreciation for your support, you will receive a coupon valid at maurices.

Needed Supplies:

  • High Efficiency Liquid Laundry Soap
  • Adams Flea Shampoo
  • Adams Flea Spray for Dogs and Cats
  • Front Line or Advantix Topical Flea Treatments for Dogs or Cats
  • Copy Paper
  • HP-36A Printer Cartridges
  • Dog or Cat Toys
  • AA Batteries
  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Construction Paper
  • Cat Litter
  • Bleach
  • Dish Soap
  • Good Quality Dog/Puppy or Cat/Kitten Food (Iams, Science Diet, Diamond or Red Canon)

Rescues and Runways is a national campaign created by maurices, in partnership with the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®).

In its second year, the goals of this program have remained the same: to increase pet adoptions and raise awareness of the plight of animal shelters through pet-themed fashion shows. More than 750 maurices locations across the U.S. are hosting the fashion shows to raise supplies and cash donations for our forever friends!

maurices knows that pets hold special places in the hearts of many of its customers and associates. This is a great way to raise awareness of pets in need, support local shelters and increase adoptions of homeless animals. Shelters are in greater need today than ever before, and some are experiencing an increased number of pets abandoned and surrendered.
