Six Offenders Give Guilty Pleas in District Court

District Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

  • Michael Dean Hathcock pled guilty to the felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and was sentenced to Thirty (30) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further Hathcock pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Twenty (20) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Joe Wayne Bastardo pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • James Darnell Banks pled guilty to three separate felony offenses of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Seven (7) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.
  • Reynaldo Salazar pled guilty to the felony offense of Theft over $1500 under $20,000 and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Samuel Lynn Lockhart pled guilty to the felony offenses Evading Arrest-Enhanced and Burglary of a Building and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division in each case.
  • Sonya Ree Thacker pled guilty to the felony offence of Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information and was sentenced to Twelve (12) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
