The official start of the school year this week also signals the start of high school and middle school sports. To celebrate the beginning of the fall sports season, Brownwood ISD is hosting their annual “Meet the Lions” event on Tuesday night at Gordon Wood Stadium.
The event kicks off at 5pm on Tuesday, August 24th with the sale of hamburgers for $5 each. The program will begin at 6:30pm where high school and middle school athletes and coaches will be introduced from fall sports. Athletic Club memberships will also be available for $10.
Brownwood Cheerleaders, Mighty Maroon Marching Band, and the Lion Crew will all be on hand showing their support for the Brownwood Lions.
Families, friends and fans of the Brownwood Lions are all invited to attend.
