Lennie Veree Stuteville

StutevilleLennie Veree Stuteville, age 98, passed away August 19, 2010 at Oak Ridge Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday August 22, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eddie Ailshee officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 before the services. Interment will follow at the Greenleaf Cemetery.

She was born July 29, 1912 to Leonard and Dorsie White Bradford in Merkel. She married Milton Stuteville on June 1, 1928. Lennie was a former member of Coggin Ave Baptist Church. She worked for ManglesWomen’s Department Store, as a telephone operator for Southwestern States Telephone, and as a bookkeeper for George Day for many years.

She is survived by her children Barbara McHorse of Early, Brenda Perkins and husband Larry of Early, and Larry Don Stuteville and wife Brenda of Abilene; her grandchildren Karey Gail Morelock and husband Danny of Brownwood, Randy McHorse and wife Kathy of Kansas, Terry Perkins and wife Lisa of Houston, Kelli Gage and husband Bryan of Plano, Sarah Beth Mofschella and husband Joe of Washington D.C., Will, Wyatt and Anna Stuteville all of Abilene; 9 great grandkids, 9 great-great grandkids and  1 more on the way. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Ruth Williams and her son-in-law Steve McHorse.

Memorial contributions can be made to the church of your choice. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Oak Ridge Manor and to Lighthouse Hospice for their loving care.
