Funeral Services for Stephen Bradley “S.B.” Canon, Jr., age 89, of Brownwood will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 18, 2010 at the Davis Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Eddie Ailshie officiating, interment to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Davis Morris Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

Stephen was born July 10, 1921 in Brownwood, Texas to Stephen B. Canon, Sr. and Allie Bessie (Gillam) Canon. He married Jearldine Smith November 11, 1967 in El Paso, Tx. ‘S.B’ served in the United States Army Air Core before starting his own business, Check Writer Sales and Service.

Stephen is survived by his wife Jearldine Canon of Brownwood; children, Beth Caison, Murphy Wade Canon and wife Patty, and Steve Canon and wife Donna, Gwen Hart and husband Tommy, and Gaylond Hall and wife Sherry; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons, Gerald Canon and Chris Hart; a great grandson, Garett Hall, son in law, Doug Caison; four brothers, Claude, Earl, Shorty, and Hillary Canon; seven sisters, Ora Davis, Jewel Embry, Flossie Moore, Frances Cabler, Hazel Stanky, Mildred Cunningham, and Nan Sowell.
