KiwanisInternationalLogoThe Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club of Early announced today that it has partnered up with Hollywood Theaters and Heartland Mall to provide a “day at the movies,” suitable for the entire family.

The fundraising event is being called the Great American Children’s Film Festival.  The Kiwanis Club has contracted with a promotional company to conduct the “up front” sales of tickets for this event.  This promotional company will be conducting the pre-event sales by phone.  Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door on the day of the event.

The event is scheduled to occur on Saturday, September 25th, at 9am at the Hollywood Theaters in Heartland Mall, Early, Texas.  Two movies will be shown, with those movies being “Kung Fu Panda” and “BEE Movie.”  The viewing of both movies will be approximately three (3) hours long.

“These movies are suitable for children and will provide the opportunity for the entire family to enjoy some good clean entertainment,” said Kiwanis Club President Bill Pursch.  “This is not just a children’s event….the entire family can go,” said Pursch.

Pursch wanted to remind the community that “100% of all fundraising proceeds are returned to the community through various programs that are geared to benefit the youth of our community in Brown County.  No fundraising proceeds are used for the operation of our club.  By Kiwanis’ bylaws, this money has to be returned to the community through these various programs,” said Pursch.

“If anyone should have a question about the event, they can contact any member of the Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club of Early or they may contact our Fundraising Chairman and fellow Kiwanian Roy Parrack at 325-642-3260,” said Pursch.

Pursch added, “the Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club would like to thank Hollywood Theaters and Heartland Mall for allowing us to use their facilities on September 25th, to pursue this fundraising event.  We would also like to thank the community for its continued support of our club and its fundraisers throughout the year.  Rest assured that your money is used and invested back into our community through our most precious asset…the children of Brown County.”
