PatriciaAllmanPatricia Ann (Kelly) Allman went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M. Saturday at the Early First Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Ailshie officiating. Burial will be at Greenleaf cemetery in Brownwood. Family visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 8 PM at Heartland Funeral Home, 303 Early Blvd, in Early.

Patricia was born 90 years ago in October of 1919, the daughter of Samuel and Katherine Kelly.

She was born and raised in EI Paso, Texas, where she graduated from high school. In 1942, she graduated as a Registered Nurse from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Phoenix AZ. It was while she was in Phoenix that she met her handsome husband to be, Robert M. Allman, while he was in flight training, and they were married in November 1942.

Bob and Pat, as they were known to their friends, traveled to many locations at home and abroad due to Bob’s job in the Air Force, but wherever they went they worked in chapels, churches, and mission stations to further the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ. They sang in choirs, played in bell choirs, worked in libraries, and taught Sunday School classes. Pat was a born again Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She and Bob were members of First Baptist Church in Early. In addition to church work, they were active in the Gideons, and Pat was a member of Republican Women of Brown County. At the time of her retirement, Pat was working as an RN on the Obstetrics floor of Brownwood Regional Hospital. She was very pleased and proud to work in such a fine facility.

She is survived by two sons, Robert S. Allman and wife, Karen, of Temple, TX; Roy A. Allman and wife, Jan of Euless, TX; one daughter, Carol England, and husband, Finley, of Early, TX; five grand children and five great grandchildren, Lori Primavera and husband, Jay, of Coppell; Lena England of Portland Oregon; Brant Allman, and wife Cindy, and daughter, Lilly of Temple,  Tx; Lisa Clawson and husband, Michael, and son, Trevor Ray, and daughter, Kasey, of Blanket, Tx, and Kristi Kimberly and husband, Andy, and daughters, Kaniel and Kelliann of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Nancy Robinson of Albuquerque, New Mexico and by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Jimmie Kelly, one brother-in-law, Col. Richard S. Robinson USAF (Ret.), one nephew, Roy Ernst Gude and by a cousin John H. (Jack) Harrison III.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Early, Texas or to the Gideons.

Friends are invited to sign the guestbook at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
