Janice Marie Young, age 51, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010, in Brownwood, Texas. Janice had recently moved to Brownwood from Houston. Janice was the fifth child born to W. F. Young and wife, Christina H. Young on October 27, 1958, in Houston, Texas. Janice leaves a family of one sister, Mrs. Valerie R. Kelton and brother-in-law, Shane M. Kelton and one son, Jason M. Kelton, age 32, all of May, Texas; one Granddaughter, Breanna M. Kelton, age 9, of Haslet, Texas, and two brothers, Robert L. (Bobby) Young and William F. (Bill) Young, both of Houston. Janices’s parents and one brother, Leo E. Young preceded Janice in death.
Janice’s funeral arrangements are being handled through Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations, 1412 Belle Plain, Brownwood, Texas, with family visitation on Wednesday, July 21st, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral will be in the Netherton Chapel on Thursday, July 22, 15 2:00 p.m. with final interment at May Cemetery.
Janice spent the last 10 years of her life as a Homemaker and dear friend to many people in her apartment complex and neighborhood of Northeast Houston. In particular, Janice remained a life-long dear friend to Mrs. Shirely Lafayette and daughter, Darlene, and loved them as her own “Mom and Sister”. Janice faced many struggles in life, but her greatest achievement was knowing and having a personal relationship with the Lord. And with that knowledge, comes this promise: “All those who die knowing the Lord will never see each other for the last time.”
