Brownwood Jr. Midget Cardinals take the District 2 TTAB Championship Tournament on July 15th here in Brownwood.

The Cardinalswill advance to the State Tournament the week of July 26-30.  The Cardinals took on the Brownwood Rangers in the first game with a close score of 10-8.  Advancing to the next round, they took on the Brownwood Giants, which were the other 1st place team coming out of regular season.  The Cardinals came out slugging in that game and outscored their opponent 17-8.

This set up the last round in the tourney where they Cardinals and Giants had to face off again for the tournament championship.  Going a full 6 innings and not finishing up till after 11pm, the Cardinals once again come through with a score of 14-7.  

Both teams will advance to the state tournament that will be held in Early.
