BertWeathersBert Weathers, age 94, of Brownwood passed away Sunday July 11, 2010 in Brownwood.  Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00am Wednesday July 14, 2010 in Eastlawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held Tuesday July 13, 2010 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Bert Elmore Weathers was born December 3, 1915 to Allen Hilliard Weathers and Sadie Lillie Hawthorne Weathers in Milam County, TX.  He married Tommie Lee Arrowood on November 27, 1948 in Gatesville, TX.  Bert and Tommie have lived in Brownwood since 1949.  Bert was a skilled craftsman and artist and had the ability to create many different things.  He had a great love for his dogs, which he had trained extremely well.  Bert was an avid outdoorsman.  He loving fishing and tending the cattle on his ranch.  Bert also had a great love for music.  He sang bass in a family singing group, and played harmonica for the residents at Redstone Nursing Home.

Mr. Weathers was preceded in death by his parents Allen and Sadie Weathers, 3 brothers; J.C. Weathers, Calvin Weathers, and Alvis Weathers, and 3 sisters; Eula Davidson, Edeth Kiser, and Violet Carter.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Tommie Lee Weathers, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
